Tailored Online training for Porticus in MEL

Much of our tailor made work and consultancy comes from recommendations by people we have worked with before, or from our previous students. This happened recently when IMA was contacted by Porticusto provide a tailored online course for 14 staff of the Africa regional team on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL).  The team wanted to build capacity in MEL to help inform processes and decision making necessary to meet their strategic ambitions.

The online course design was a mix of online self-study modules and guided webinars that included a mix of Q&A and reflection, breakouts and mini practice sessions, with two homework assignments, all taking place in half days over 3 weeks.

Alongside our regular MEL topics (see here for morewe covered Theory of ChangeEvaluations and asking evaluative questionsCollective Learning, and a practiced how to do an Evaluation using some real case studies from Porticus. To finish we worked together on creating and agreeing an action plan to begin strategizing MEL within the team

Thank you to the Porticus team  we love to build on our connections and continue working with teams and organisations!
