Outline of the programme: The course involved a field visit to a community project to assess the progress of training to date and identify training issues to be explored in the course. The six day Training of Trainers course was conducted in collaboration with the training management team. The primary focus of the course was developing participatory approaches and techniques for carrying out Learning Needs Analysis, and examine how these fit in with the Logical framework of the whole project. The participants also explored the principles of adult learning as well as how to plan and conduct a training session using participative training methods. The course focussed on building the analytical and training skills of the participants, which participants used to draw up a draft Training Strategic Document for World Vision.
