Training Needs Analysis

During February and March of this year Chris Grose was employed as an an International Institutional Development / Training Specialist for ARDQIP in Sri Lanka. His key role was the preparation of a training master plan following a Training Needs Analysis of NAQDA (National Aquaculture Development Authority). Visits were made to field stations in Anaradhrapura, Udawallawe, Galle, Tangalle, Kandy and Pamballa to establish training needs and capacity of NAQDA and local organizations, including several meetings with local farmers and fishers. ARDQIP is an ADB funded project working with the ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources. IMA International is providing a long term commitment to the institutional development and capacity building training for the duration of this project from 2004 - 2009. Further consultancy inputs to Sri Lanka are planned for 2005 with continued support for training and Human Resource Development on NAQDA in particular and the key project partners.
