In February 2010, the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Health published a National Strategic Health Development Plan (NSHDP), which incorporated a National Results M&E Matrix. As a part of the wider process of preparing the ground for the implementation of the Plan, IMA was asked to deliver a tailor-made 10-day version of its RBME course.
Participants were drawn from different departments of the Federal Ministry of Health, from State governments, and from parastatal and research organisations. The course was designed to enable participants to gain an in-depth understanding of RBME, and to prepare them for the roles they would perform in the rolling out of the new system.
