Planning and Management for Sustainable Livelihoods

The main purpose of the course was to develop within the ministry the knowledge and understanding of planning and management techniques to further a 'sustainable livelihoods' approach to development

Outline of the programme:   16 key managers from the ministry were selected to study on this tailor made programme.
Components included:
project planning and proposal writing
community planning and participation
sustainable livelihoods
planning project implementation
monitoring and evaluation 
conflict management
managing people: motivation and delegation

During the course participants developed individual action plans and these are being followed up to support the learning of this course.
