Brighton, June 2007
The first of our “People Skills for Development Managers” courses was held in Brighton in June. Participants were well matched in their needs and experience levels, which enabled both excellent session discussions and practical work and also shared learning between the participants.
Favourite topics were leadership, delegation, building and maintaining high performance teams and managing change both personally and within the organizational context. A visit to a local District Council was also included to see practical application of the review and improvement in organisational performance management.
Feedback for the course was extremely positive and participants left with personal action plans as well as a sense of a strong bond to keep in contact both with other participants and with IMA as they endeavour to implement their learning at the workplace.
