Brighton, June 2007
The first course of our new 3 day People Skills Workshop for Experienced Development Managers ran in Brighton UK from 25-27th June. Course participants included senior managers from the Ministry of Education in Indonesia, from the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports in Ghana and from the Ghanian NGO ADRA .
Key themes covered were building and sustaining high performing teams, coaching for leaders and implementing sustainable change. The sessions were focused on situations faced by the participants at their workplace with an emphasis on using the concepts and tools to resolve specific challenges.
As several of the participants were from Education Ministries, the workshop included a visit to a high performing local primary school to discuss their approaches to building their high performing teaching team including their use of coaching. The visit was a great success and links have already started to be made with a link in a primary school in Ghana!
Feedback from the course was very positive with participants commenting on the relevance and practicality of the sessions Feedback from the course was very positive and “very beneficial for all managers who want to introduce change into their organisations”
