March 2010
At the end of March, we ran the third and final module of our ongoing programme for 20 national consultants in Nigeria. These consultants are working for SPARC (the State Partnership for Accountability, Responsiveness and Capability Programme), which is part of the UK Department for International Development’s (DFID) national programme.
In this module, we reviewed how well the consultants had been able to apply the knowledge learnt in the second module, looking at their action plans and assignments in a two-day workshop.
The consultants then learnt how to implement programmes whilst supporting public sector reform through studying topics such as monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment, effective meetings, time management, high performing teams, coaching and mentoring, accountability and voice, and conflict resolution.
The training was based around practical activities and drew on the experience of both trainers and participants.
