UK June 2006
This was a very well attended course. There were 22 participants, drawn from Tanzania, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Barbados, Norway, Ghana, Bhutan, Syria, Sri Lanka and the UK, half of whom were women. Whilst not departing radically from previous designs, a number of innovations were introduced. These included the use of extended exercises building on participant’s experiences, and a re-entry model dealing with the issues that would be likely to arise in implementing lessons arising for the course and how these could be addressed. Both innovations were popular and the course as a whole received a very positive evaluation. A busy social programme accompanied our more serious activities, culminating in a participatory exercise in the ancient English art of Morris dancing.
