Monitoring and Evaluation for Ministry of Health

IMA was invited to develop a tailor-made course to be delivered in Bangladesh to 13 M&E staff from the Health, Nutrition and Population Sector Programme (HNPSP).

13 participants attended this course on Monitoring for Health which had been specifically tailored to meet the expressed training needs of the course participants whose theme was Monitoring & Evaluation in the Health Sector. The course was delivered in 9 days at the Health Economics Unit, Ministry of Health, in Dhaka.

The participants came from various health organisations and departments.

Overall, the course was designed to enable participants to gain an in-depth understanding of M&E within the Health Sector and to assist the M&E Unit to develop to the next stage. Group work focussed on the real situation for HNPSP or selected case studies and, in particular, the actual challenges and opportunities participants face in their work. Teams also had the opportunity to present back to the group as a whole for further discussion.

Mohammed Monirul Islam says, "The trainer is super and the subject matter is very much relevant. It will help the participants to understand the M&E issues in particular for the Health sector in Bangladesh"
