Kuala Lumpur, November 2009
IMA International held an open training course, Monitoring and Evaluation for Development, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the first time this year. Participants from government and non-government organisations in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Bhutan and Sudan attended the two week course, a highlight of which was two study visits to UNICEF Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW). Participants conducted a Rapid Evaluation in the latter as a practical case study and presented their findings back to the organisation. Another key highlight of the course was the sharing of experiences, challenges, and practical examples of M & E in action that was provided by the trainers and participants themselves.
