Monitoring and Evaluation course for Aga Khan

IMA Consultant Tristan Measures ran a 5 day Monitoring and Evaluation Course for the Aga Khan Network in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. This was attended by 13 staff members of the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) and its partners including the Mountain Societies Development Programme (MSDP). Participants included the Chief Executive, Senior Finance and Programme Managers as well as Evaluation specialists.

This course had been requested by AKF and was designed to build the capacity of staff involved in M&E activities, specifically in Health, Rural Livelihoods and Education. The training was designed to focus on these specific programme areas by providing support and guidance to participants while introducing new skills. Participants therefore spent much of the course working on and revising their existing Logical Frameworks, and addressing specific challenges faced in their everyday work.

By the end of the course, each thematic area, Health, Rural Livelihoods and Education, had revised their logical frameworks as a key outcome, as well as improved knowledge of areas such as Monitoring Tools, Monitoring Systems, Facilitation and how to write Terms of Reference.
