Banda Aceh, December 2007
IMA International was invited by the ILO Women Entrepreneurs' Development Program to provide a tailor-made programme consisting of Annual Report Writing, Proposal Writing, M&E, CSR and Transparency to Business Development Service Providers (BDSP) working with women entrepreneurs in Aceh. Between 18-24 participants representing a number of Aceh BDSP organisations attended the 5 different workshops. The training was action-learning and group-oriented to take into account the cultural preferences of participants. The course was delivered over 13 days at the Rasamala Indah Hotel in Banda Aceh.
Overall, the course was designed to enable participants to gain a practical understanding of how to improve their relations with donors and how to seek more project funding to assist their clients. Participants developed their own Annual Reports, proposals and M&E systems during the workshops. They were optimistic about applying the skills and knowledge they had gained from the program in their day-to-day work. One of the successes of the course was the opportunity for BDSP to work together and forge relationships.
