Carried out a comprehensive identification of institutions involved in NAD fisheries and aquaculture governance and management, the linkages and relationships between them, and their fisheries and aquaculture post-tsunami rehabilitation programmes including those supported by external agencies.
Assessed remaining institution-related gaps in post-tsunami rehabilitation and development in fisheries and aquaculture
Analyzed institutional arrangements and mechanisms concerning fisheries and aquaculture governance and management and, in close cooperation with the concerned institutions, identify gaps and suitable interventions to address these, in particular in the context of on-going and planned post-tsunami rehabilitation programmes
In close cooperation with personnel/training officers, carried out training needs assessment within Aceh using a workshop approach, and identified ongoing and planned post-tsunami programmes that could assist in training and other capacity-building measures.
Prepared and held a final workshop with participation of relevant institutions and stakeholders to present the findings of the institutional analysis and to discuss/clarify the roles and responsibilities of institutions involved in fisheries and aquaculture governance and management.
