Bangkok, November 2005
The course was a great success with 13 participants representing India, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, Nepal, Tajikstan and Armenia. IMA trainers came from our bases in Brighton and Brisbane. The course was held at the Eastin Hotel in central Bangkok from the 14 - 25 November 2005. It covered all aspects of development planning and management. Visits were made to CHARM to understand the management of an integrated coastal development project and PDA to consider the management issues of a large national NGO. All participants left motivated with clear ideas on how they can improve their planning and management skills. There was also a busy social programme and visits were made to the famous floating market, to the roof top restaurant of the world's tallest hotel, to view a spectacular Thai cultural show on one of the world's largest stages and a dinner cruise to celebrate the completion of the course.
