Advanced Monitoring and Evaluation Workshop

Our Advanced M&E Workshop has just run in Brighton, attracting 12 participants from different organisations in Africa.
This course is based on the principles of results-based M&E, which have already been embraced by a wide range of bodies in international development and beyond. It provides a practical, step-by-step approach for those seeking either to introduce a more systemic approach for the first time, or to overhaul and focus their current M&E operations.
During the course, participants worked on a combination of general case studies and materials drawn more specifically from their own experience. The participants left with individual action plans to help them set up and streamline complex M&E operations.
Directing the course were Patrick Spaven (Visiting Fellow at the Manchester Business School and former head of Evaluation at the British Council) and Mick Howes (former Fellow of the Institute of Development Studies).
The workshop will next be offered in Cape Town in July and again in Bangkok this November.

"Highly educative, informative and interactive" –Charles Abe, Life Vanguards

"The course is very practical and the trainers are excellent" –Jeroro Ify, Chevron Nigeria Ltd

"It was a rewarding training programme for me. The experiences gained here will be useful in setting up an evaluation system of looking back at programmes we have been carrying out in communities for the past three years." –Emily Green-Nwodim, NLNG Ltd.
