One of the greatest challenges for a team is to discover its sense of purpose, if a team knows and shares a sense of purpose so many other things fall into place. We have been delighted to work with The Accounts Payable Team at FAO on developing and delivering a workshop that does this.
This was the second workshop with the team with the first taking place in October 2009. This workshop not only offered the opportunity to build upon and deepen the skills from the earlier workshop it also enabled the team to reenergise, refocus and replenish after an extremely busy and changing 8 months. The team have a new Team Leader and a real desire to develop not only as a team, as individuals.
It was inspiring and rich learning experience, we explored Solution Focus in practice, how to have empowering conversations within the team, we looked at how crucial it is to be able to give feedback and how to do this in such a way as it enhances relationships. We also spent some time looking at how the team responds to set-backs and disappointments.
