In June IMA delivered a tailor-made course, entitled: ‘Monitoring and Evaluation in a Results-Based Management Environment', to the Commonwealth Secretariat in the UK. The course was designed and delivered by Patrick Spaven (IMA) and Evelyn Ogwal (Commonwealth Secretariat). The course is a key component in an integrated programme of internal capacity building in preparation for a new stage in the development of the Secretariat's Results-Based Management (RBM) System.

Amnesty International’s International secretariat has a wide variety of technical experts who are often required to facilitate large and diverse group meetings. IMA spent two days with them working on their facilitation skills in London recently. Feedback included ‘this is the best AI learning event I have ever been to’. IMA International was in Rwanda recently with a large UNagency working on their internal coherence and partnerships. The 3 day course facilitated by Ciaran beary,Nathalie Van Der Plancke and Linzi Moore, saw local partners invited in andtaken through a series of participative exercises together with the group, whichsupported a process of self-refection and predictive performance management. Brighton, UK, June 2011
In June the IMA Results-based M&E course was successfully delivered to a group of twelve development professionals from the private and public sectors, including UN agencies, non-governmental organisations (Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, ActionAid, Comic Relief), Central Bank of Nigeria, Chevron Nigeria, and the Performance Management Unit at the Water Ministry in Jordan. It was run by Laurence Sewell and Catherine Lowery, experienced international consultants in the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems.
